Until a few years ago, there were 4 people in the house. I always found our 2 bathrooms (only one shower) very convenient. However, we never missed a second shower. In the mornings, rarely anyone showered at our place. And during the day or evening, the shower was always available. Also, we all did a lot of sports, so we always showered at the club. Best regards, Steffi.

Hello,

If I were you, I would have the bathroom expansion in the attic completely done right away.

As others have already written, it is otherwise very likely that it will remain only in the preparation stage.

However, if you actually manage to get going and carry out the expansion at some point, you will have a construction site again with the corresponding side effects (noise, dust, "chaos", ...) in the house.

We really appreciate having a second bathroom that is also used by guests – it may be a certain sense of entitlement or even "luxury," but for me a bathroom that I do not "have to" share with guests is already a certain comfort feature that I do not want to do without.

With the current interest rates, a loan of EUR 10,000.00 more doesn't really hurt that much...

Regards,

Dirk

To put it in numbers and apply the good practice of electrical wholesale markets: 10T € at 1.7% mean a monthly additional charge (interest) of only an amazing 14 €! Unfortunately, you also have to pay it back (which you have to do anyway if you do it later).

However, if the repayment then extends the term, the 10K€ quickly become 20K€.

Maybe not 20, but gladly 15, assuming one repays the 10T € at the end after 20 years.

It may be that under the current interest rate conditions, it no longer fits if you only repay over 20 years. With my 2.9% interest and 2% initial repayment, 10K€ more or less rather had the effect of 25K€.
