Is a desk in front of the window sensible?

In our new house, there is a study/hobby room. I would like to set up a desk/worktable across the entire width in front of the window (2.68 m) to be able to use both my PC and my sewing machine there.

But now it doesn't seem so practical anymore. To clean the windows, I would have to move everything forward to get to them. Or would it be better to have 2 desks and leave a walkway in the middle?

I look forward to examples from you.

Take two desks on casters, each with an intelligent cable management system.

The PC directly in front of the window is not ergonomically sensible. It is better to have the light coming from the side. To be able to give advice, one would need to see the floor plan. We planned it so that the desk is against the side wall.

Here is the floor plan. The room is 2.68 m wide and 3.91 m long. The windowsill is 90 cm high.

Have you thought it through carefully, having a PC and a sewing machine side by side? I originally wanted that too on one table, but when sewing/cutting etc., lint tends to fly around. A PC really doesn’t like that. So I placed the two differently in my setup.

And yes, as already mentioned. Both when sewing and in front of the screen, light from the front is rather obstructive. It usually causes uncomfortable glare.

How would you arrange it alternatively? The bed-sofa should already be positioned as shown.
