Hello, we have decided on integrating the Gira 106 in the mailbox. Unfortunately, I cannot report anything about the quality yet, as it will only be installed in the coming weeks. This is also integrated into KNX in our case.

What exactly do you mean by "integrate into visualization"? So basically, we want to visually see at home who is at the door, or also from the mobile phone while on the go. :) What does it mean to take the door intercom system autonomously?

Doorbird 2101 apparently fulfills its purpose well and reliably. I'm just torn because of the cam quality and now that I've seen the VDM10, I also find it visually more appealing (and more cost-effective).

But the Gira is quite something when it comes to the costs...

That's true, but you only do it once :)
The mailbox is almost just as expensive :) : )
The iPad plus the iPad wall mount will then give you the rest...

In my opinion, everything should work flawlessly together with the cameras on the house and the iPad etc., and above all function properly, so I'd rather pay a bit more...

And when you see that the price is being asked for this image quality, you start to wonder about completely different things...

I mean the visualization for the building control, i.e. for example controlling the KNX system via a display, tablet or an app. But it sounds like you don’t have that anyway. Then you can simply take the most appealing door intercom and use its own app or its own video intercom. If you wanted to integrate the intercom into the mentioned visualization, it would have to be compatible so you don't have to work with multiple apps or displays.

Yes, visualization is already planned. Specifically then via a tablet (probably iPad). You should then be able to use the complete home control via the iPad. Among other things, also as a door opener. So you can also visually see who is knocking at the door :)
