Integrate a partially integrated dishwasher into the Ikea Metod system

we are currently planning our first Ikea kitchen and are facing a problem. I have already googled and read a lot, but the solution remains elusive. If I cannot find a solution, unfortunately, our IKEA kitchen project will have failed.

So here is the question: We have a Bosch dishwasher with controls on the front. Front panels for the Metod system are only available for fully integrated dishwashers. Since we will definitely not replace our recently purchased dishwasher, we are now looking for a solution. I found the product "ERSÄTTARE" at IKEA, which apparently is supposed to be a solution, but no suitable front panel is offered in connection with it. How does IKEA envision the further procedure for this method?

Hello, ERSÄTTARE is used together with a 40 cm and 20 cm or 3 20 cm high drawer fronts. In both cases, a 10 cm (if necessary 20 cm) drawer front is cut to size to fit the remaining gap.

Great question! I am facing the same problem, but my kitchen is almost finished. I have a partially integrated 45cm wide dishwasher and have installed it as well as cut the Ringhult front to the exact size of the dishwasher.

Would it have been smarter to cut the front to the length of the other cabinets and then adjust the plinth so that the door can swing under the dishwasher, or would that be too high? Also, how do you seal the cut part? Of course, I don’t want moisture to get in there.

At the moment, unfortunately, I have a free space under the dishwasher and I don’t know how to cover it.

No, the door wouldn’t fully open even without the baseboard.

How do you seal the cut area?
