Are you allowed to - but I have no idea, as it was part of the house price. Heating was not listed separately for us (we did not request that either).

Oh, right, no problem, then of course it won't be listed separately as inventory. But overall, I think it's a pretty nice thing. As I said, I have an appointment in just under 2 weeks and will reveal the result.

Hello everyone,
we also want to build and have planned the house so far. We want to heat with renewable energies and are now considering whether to choose an LWZ 304 or an LWZ 504 from Stiebel Eltron. Actually, based on the house size of 160 sqm, KFW about 60, and the heating load calculation, we were leaning towards an LWZ 304. But after reading that the inverter technology of the 504 is supposedly much better, we are wondering whether it is worth investing a bit more money and buying it? We also want to install photovoltaic panels on the roof and use a Tesla battery storage system.

I would be very happy about further experiences regarding operation, noise, costs, and customer service, etc. It was interesting to read here, and I would like to have even more information.

Best regards
Daniela

Hello Daniela,

we have completely moved away from the system. The reasons for this were that such a system is also correspondingly sensitive and in the end we did not want ventilation either. One reads again and again that the tendency rather decreases.

We have now installed Viessmann, an air-to-water heat pump with the option for a later system on the roof.

Regards

Hello,
so our new building is finally finished (160 sqm, KFW 55) and we are very happy with our LWZ 504. Always warm water and it is very quiet. However, the ventilation will be put into operation soon; we have not done this yet because there were still dusty works in the house and we did not want the dust to get into the ventilation system. I’m curious how loud it will be. I hope it will be very quiet since I am quite sensitive to noise. I will report back then.

But I cannot recommend being without ventilation in such a well-insulated house. We are currently in that situation and it is very warm. Simply because the house is so well insulated. We are both working and at home far too little to ventilate often enough. We have many floor-to-ceiling windows, so the house warms up quickly when the sun shines. The LWZ 504 is currently only running to produce warm water. Even when it was still colder recently (about 8 degrees), it hardly ran because the house is so well insulated and warm enough. That’s why we are looking forward to the ventilation. Allegedly, the entire air in the house will be exchanged via it in about an hour. And thanks to the pollen filter, as an allergy sufferer, I hope for relief from my symptoms.

Soon the photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof as well as the Tesla battery storage. There is also a subsidy for this which we will use.

Best regards
Daniela

Thank you for your feedback. We will soon receive the identical THZ 504. The noise level was one point where I was a bit skeptical. But that sounds very good.
