You don’t need a loan for such crappy systems. If you put 20 kWp on the roof and consume 25% of it, there will still be enough left in the account. If it’s not quite enough to pay off in 15 years, you can surely also contribute a bit of equity, right?

I am also just at the beginning. I don't even have a value that would fit on my roof. However, it would have been charming to finance the thing for just under 1% and let it run on the side, instead of tying up all the capital at once. I also wanted to take advantage of a [Förderung] once in my life :-)...

I also wanted to go through KFW back then but no chance, no bank makes the effort to channel the KFW loan for such a small amount. My financing bank also said that if I get an electric car and a photovoltaic system, that would be something to talk about… so there is something you cannot have. Recently I also saw a report on TV about this. A family wanted a KFW loan for a renovation, but there was no KFW loan. In the end, the banks always offered their own (more expensive) products and it would have gone without any problems.

I cannot agree with the general statements here. My Volksbank applied for and approved my photovoltaic loan at 1.04 for 10 years (20k€ / 19 kWp) without any grumbling...

The conditions for the 270er also differ depending on the term, etc. Just ask at the house bank and simply borrow more, you should also get about 1-1.3% there. That's how we did it.
