Hello dear forum community,
I am new here and so I would like to say "hello everyone" first.
In the second apartment of my life, I decided on an Ikea kitchen and I do not regret this decision. My 3.40m kitchen unit is fun and looks great!
Part of my kitchen is also the induction hob Folklig. Unfortunately, it is causing problems and I am therefore very curious whether others have these problems too:
Normally, I know from (more expensive) induction hobs that the temperature is generated evenly. This is not the case with Folklig. This hob switches on and off every few seconds. At the lowest setting, it is only on for a very short time and then off for longer; the higher I turn up, the shorter the phases when it is not "heating" become.
My internet research showed that this is normal with cheaper hobs at low settings. However, my Folklig does this up to and including setting 7 out of 9. You can clearly see the water for pasta boiling and then calming down again at these intervals.
Is this normal? How is it with others who have this hob? I am very much looking forward to your answers.
