So we have a completely normally installed induction cooktop and there are no noises. The extractor hood is actually the loudest. I would always choose that for the kitchen! :-)
The individual hotplates are all equally loud in my experience. Since they are already available functioning for 30EUR, one has to put up with the noise. We still have a normal ceramic hob, but the mobile hotplate is used very often. It is so much faster and better. In the new kitchen only induction!!
For the moment, I was looking for a separate hot plate with which I can keep the soup warm at our topping-out ceremony...
...and I actually just wanted to know whether all induction hot plates have such loud fans or if I was just unlucky with the first two attempts..
... Personally, I would take a regular hot plate because I still have an old large pot. I have induction in the new kitchen now, and by the way, I don't hear a fan there. With the external hot plate, I would have everything covered. Maybe you can relate to my answer?
Hello Yvonne, still awake so late...? The thing with the big old pot is a good point... Yes, that's how I will do it... An external single hotplate is enough... Thanks! Best regards Steffi.
I sometimes hear fans on my large induction hob, but not always. For example, when I use the power function and have 6kw+ on a cooking zone... Even if the electronics/coil had 99% efficiency (which certainly is not the case), there would be 60W to dissipate, and anyone who has ever touched such a light bulb can understand that some cooling is necessary.
