It's not about the turn of the year but about 1 calendar year (12 months). That makes sense, a buddy already said that headhunters are operating in construction to poach people.

The tariff is hardly paid anymore in the West but above. At least for the young, healthy, willing ones.

When I look at the price increases here, I find the 10% acceptable.

Price increases in spring about 5%, new ones announced for autumn.

Wages are rising far more than in the collective agreement. A well-known craftsman received an offer of 80,000 euros annual salary + company car, overtime with 25% surcharge.

In construction it looks even worse, they can choose their customers.
In our town, a shell construction (single contract) has been standing for weeks without progress. There are not even offers for the windows.
Our plasterer is supposed to do the garage. On Monday he asked us if he can only plaster and we paint ourselves. We have already postponed plastering the inside of the garage to next year.

Yes, it was even more than 12 months
It dragged on for a long time.

The general contractor mentioned something like 3-4%. But he would have accepted it and extended the offer to me.

Our architect said last week that in Cologne or Düsseldorf concrete deliveries now have to be planned and ordered months in advance. No idea if that's true but if so... awesome!

I think so.

What did a customer say this week "it's soon like in the GDR, hammer not. No matter what"
