No, because that creates corners that are less practical to use.

School lockers become difficult in this case.
Do people still install normal little doors at the lower part nowadays or is that already old school?
We still have one of those revolving racks in the corner in our current rented apartment, actually quite practical.

we have the same layout for the kitchen. Our planner advised us against the G or U and recommended two rows | |.
in the end (hopefully in 3 weeks) it will look like this. Maybe the picture will help you imagine it.
