Ikea Välgjord dishwasher door does not stay open

Hello,
we bought a new dishwasher at Ikea. Now we have the following problem:
The door does not stay open. It closes by itself again. That means, it does not stay down.
The door is also harder to open than the previous one.
We do not have a panel in front of it yet. But that cannot be the reason, can it?
It must work without a panel as well.

Hello, somewhere in the assembly instructions it must be shown how to adjust the tension of the spring. However, it cannot be generally ruled out that the weight of the front is not necessary.

With our dishwasher (not Ikea, but an old Siemens) the door does not stay open even without the decorative front. The front does not weigh much, but apparently enough to make the small difference.

I would first mount the front and then see how it goes.
