Hello everyone, I am currently redesigning my bedroom. I have a niche that is exactly 2.25m wide. So exactly one Pax with 3x 0.75m elements would fit in. I would like this with sliding doors. That would theoretically work if I bought 2 x doors for a 1.5m wardrobe and then I would have one door left over. What I am not sure about now is whether the rails can be shortened without problems and whether it is possible with a double-track rail to run 2 doors at the back and one door (the one in the middle) at the front. That means I can open the door in the middle both to the right and to the left and the door on the right toward the middle and the door on the left toward the middle. Or is there some lock built into the rails here that makes it impossible? I went to Ikea today and tried to speak with one of the furniture builders. That was not possible. I was only told that the furniture builders had never done that and it is not sold like that and they could not tell me whether it works or not. Hmm, apparently creativity is not among the desired hiring requirements at Ikea :). I tried to look at the rails on the assembled wardrobes and found nothing that speaks against this, but I am not a furniture builder and you can't see the rails completely anyway. They would just have to be cut to length accordingly. Can someone help me here? Is there anything speaking against why it shouldn’t work? Many thanks for your help
