Hello everyone,

soon a kitchen purchase or kitchen expansion will take place.
Currently, I have an 8-year-old Faktum kitchen, which I will either expand or switch directly to Metod. It depends on the moving date.

What doesn’t fit me 100% with my current kitchen is the work height.
I am 176 cm tall and currently have a work height of only 90 cm. That is too low for me.
Therefore, the new kitchen should be higher, preferably 97 cm or higher.

With Faktum I get 95 cm (cabinet 70 cm + 21 cm legs + 4 cm countertop)
With Metod only 92 cm (cabinet 80 cm + 8 cm leg + 4 cm countertop)
I want a plinth at the bottom, so no Capita legs. (I have them now and I no longer like them.)

Will there soon be higher Metod legs for plinths, or can I maybe even put Faktum legs on Metod?

How have you solved this, or are you all smaller?

Regards Steffi

Hello monster, wow, 97 cm working height is quite high.... are you sure that isn't a bit too high for you? A few centimeters really make a big difference, I think. Have a look on eBay or at the hardware store for plinth feet. They come in almost any height. The only annoying thing about that is that you'll then have to cut the plinth panel from an expensive front yourself, because unfortunately the plinth panel is only available in 8 cm with Metod. Regards, schnecki

I am also 1.76m tall, so the working height can be 97 cm or more to work comfortably.
Friends of mine have 1m working height, and chopping and cooking is much more comfortable than with my current 90 cm.

I had already thought about that, but it’s more of a makeshift solution... which I don’t really want.

At the moment I am also considering staying away from Ikea kitchens because of the working height.
However, I don’t know how I will come out price-wise if it’s a furniture store kitchen. Probably more expensive.

Maybe someone knows if the plinth foot range at Ikea will be expanded?

Hello, first of all, I don’t understand why FAKTUM or METOD depends on the moving date. Parts for FAKTUM can still be ordered for 2 more years, the move is much sooner.

I am 1.84 and 97 cm would be too high for me! I would first test this on exhibited kitchens at different heights!

I have already tried that...

Can someone now answer this question for me:
Will there be even higher Metod legs for plinths soon, or can I maybe even attach Faktum legs to Metod?
