Ikea Kallax - maximum load capacity

I would like to place a few inserts in the bottom of KALLAX. The METOD corpus is 60 wide, which means I can’t fit two inserts from KALLAX side by side.

I would actually have to take the 80 METOD thing and have it cut to KALLAX widths. Is that possible or will the coating peel off?

That may be true, but still, production and pricing are planned with a specific purpose in mind.
Therefore, I find it "strange" to get upset about it.
Or do you also complain to Ferrari if your sports car is ruined after 20 km on rough terrain with rocks and roots?
