I finished most of my new kitchen "ready" over the weekend. Right now, I am installing the doors.
The door to the corner cabinet... is stuck. So..... I can't get it in because the neighboring cabinet is too close.
The board that according to the instructions COULD be mounted there neither appears in detail in the further pictures of the instructions nor is it planned in the planner. Our consultant also did not plan for that.
The joke is: If I install it "upright," the next cabinet moves 10cm further. Only then the countertop (Prägel 256cm) will no longer be enough.
Now the question:
Is it enough if I install the board FLAT there? THAT would still work. I have that much overhang to the front.

If I do that, it also means I have to redo my water connections/sink stuff and all that nonsense. In other words: I have to take apart an entire leg of the L again. And my wall cabinets also no longer fit exactly with the base cabinets. I am currently oscillating between sobbing and throwing a tantrum.

hello, I assume you have the 120 corner cabinet, you need at least 5 cm clearance to be able to properly open the door/drawer next to it. The kitchen salesperson should point this out to you when inspecting the kitchen and sell you the trim strip for it (a perfectly matching side panel in the color of the fronts is used for this) and cut it to size. Best regards André

So.... I installed the supplied strip flat. That is enough (with maximum adjustment of the hinges) to open the door just enough so that the carousel can pass the corner. I have 1-2mm clearance there.

And no, he did not point that out. The 5cm would definitely not have been possible anymore. I would have had to go to 30cm wide at the front or choose a wider cabinet under the sink and omit a cabinet.

So much for the kitchen planner theory. I really want to know how many have stood there with a long face already.

yes, you can also install the 120 corner cabinet without the fitting strip if there is no drawer next to it, but I always point out to my customers that then the handle always "bashes" against the door

Isn't it logical that the handle hits the door if I don't keep a "safety distance"?

I am of the opinion that if I have ever operated a kitchen in my life, then I know that you have to pay attention to details.

After a rear-end collision, I also can't say my driver in front braked too early... or can I?

P.S.: I believe the kitchen planner said that there has to be a gap there, otherwise he wouldn't have planned it in. But I can understand if a customer can't keep everything in mind when he has a plan in his head. Because with all these thoughts that are there, one thing or another might be forgotten, right?

Hello,
I want to place a Faktum corner cabinet 120 and an oven base cabinet around the corner. However, I only have a maximum of 4 cm available for the distance required for the drawers... is that enough for me to still be able to open my oven door?

Does this distance even apply to me... and would an oven pull-out work as well?

I don’t quite understand the problem – when pulling out a drawer around the corner, does it hit the DOOR HANDLE of the corner cabinet or the door... the dimension should be 60 cm then, right... or does the dimension for a corner cabinet only apply to the carcass and the thickness of the door has to be added?

Maybe someone knows – at Ikea they refer queries to the description of the component online – and there it says 5 cm and drawer. The assembly instructions don’t help either.

Many thanks in advance...
