Yes, I have to agree with you, it's also a thorn in my side. An alternative would then be the wardrobe as in the original plan. Then the front door can also be placed in the middle of the wall.
Regarding the wall with the 6.59. I moved the green marked wall upwards according to the plan, in my case the wall is 7.39m long.
Deducting 1.70 for the landing and 4m for the stairs, there remains 1.70 for the entrance to the living/dining room. The run could even be moved further upwards according to the plan, then a larger area would result at the front door.
Run 2m - 4m stairs - 1.40 entrance living. Since there is no cellar stairs under the stairs, access to the living area underneath should not suffer.
