Hello hobby architects :-)

I have a 70m² apartment that needs to be modernized.
The connections should stay as much as possible where they are.
It is a holiday apartment where 4-5 people should be able to sleep sometimes.
The wardrobe can be removed if necessary.
The bathroom could be extended to the right side into the bedroom.
Looking forward to your input :-)

For a holiday apartment, the bathroom is sufficient; you don't need a wellness temple. Unless it is in such an exclusive environment that a fancy bathroom is standard. I would leave it as it is - it already seems to be a shower bathroom; I cannot really see that in the original plan. Is the toilet separate? I might consider changing that because every wall takes up space, and the bathroom is already tight. In the children's room, there is room for at most a bunk bed and a wardrobe. In the master bedroom, a double bed - another bed would be too tight if a wardrobe is also needed. So, a pull-out couch in the living room for the fifth person. No more is possible. Instead of a wardrobe, one could consider an extra toilet if the apartment can accommodate up to 5 people. Otherwise, that could lead to bottlenecks. The connections should be available there from the kitchen. For a wardrobe in a holiday apartment, a few hooks on the wall are good enough.

The bathroom needs to be completely renovated. I would like to make something nice out of it right away. The toilet could also be integrated into the bathroom. But that's usually not done in Austria ;-)
A sofa bed should go in the children's room. Additional guests are supposed to sleep on the couch in the living room.

I am especially interested in the layout of the living/dining area.
Is it possible to create a cozy atmosphere here without it looking like a student dorm?
Which kitchen (shape) fits?
You could also tear down the wardrobe and create a passage to the living/dining room and close the upper passage to place a wardrobe there.

Where do you see problems? For a few days or 2 weeks, that is completely sufficient.

Beautiful furniture makes a big difference. Light is important, and everything should be harmonious. In my opinion, a floor plan does not play a big role.

I am not sure how to lay out the kitchen so that there is still enough space for a dining table. I have several ideas here. Maybe someone can check if the dimensions fit like this... The kitchen is currently as shown in the last drawing.
