How to waterproof a garage against moisture?

The shell builder should be able to do that. Basements are basically always located in the ground.

We did the base ourselves with bitumen thick coating because it is only against rain that seeps directly.

Simple, just takes a while but easy to do with a brush from the bucket.

I hereby officially out myself as someone who watches trash TV, but I've seen enough episodes of "Pfusch am Bau" that I would never even think of trying to do waterproofing against the soil myself.

But you're right. Actually, I shouldn't watch that nonsense at all, especially not while we're building. It just makes you nervous.
Although I usually get the highest entertainment value from the builders. There are really a few characters where I thought "how can someone be so hollow" :D
