Looks interesting, but intentional.

But if (0815) tiles are already excluded for cost reasons, then the floor will probably have to stay as it is.

Leveling compound/industrial floor coating costs significantly more.

What about the build-up height? You certainly can’t apply it arbitrarily because of the garage door.

Is it supposed to be (composite) screed or is it the foundation?

By the way: just getting 50 sqm flat as a layman is going to fail…

The previous owner wanted to put 5 cm of screed and then a coating on top. Would that be a plan?

Of course that’s a plan. But not cheaper than tiles on leveling compound.

Would you still have the 6 cm for the screed at the driveway? You surely don’t want a step?

If this grooved floor is on a concrete slab, I would probably break it up and install a new smooth floor made of sand and cement. You can also do it yourself if you are not completely clumsy.

There would still be 3 cm of space at the top. The previous owner made it rough like that so that the [Estrich] holds. Removing the old concrete would probably be too much work for me.

Good day,

our garage also has 54m2, I bought cheap tiles at Hornbach. These are called Bodenfliese Feinkorn Triton grau 200, 30x30 cm and cost under 10 euros per m2. This floor has withstood really heavy vehicles for three years.

Regards
