How to keep an overview of all maintenance (renovation) tasks on the house?

Of course I walk through the garden and see what needs to be done, but if it’s not planned at the beginning of the week, nothing will happen.

No, seriously. You have a house. If you see that something needs to be done, do it. Or write it on a Post It and stick it somewhere of your choice, for as long as you choose.

Exactly. You have to make the entries manually anyway. If you want to repaint the facade in 10 years, you just have to manually set the appointment for 02/27/2033. But I still don’t see the point behind it. You call the installer for the heating maintenance before the heating season starts. You sand down the terrace when it no longer looks nice. You oil the parquet every few months. You paint the facade when it no longer looks nice. You sweep away the leaves when there are too many... And you clear the walkway of snow when there is any. Which of these do you have to enter as a recurring appointment in the calendar?

Not that I would do that, but you can save a kind of control rounds. And then theoretically set individual appointments if you have discovered something. Some people otherwise have trouble actually doing it. I can basically understand that. But I think having a separate app for that is just over the top. Your own calendar on Google or just in Thunderbird is fine.

I admit I've already forgotten twice to backwash the filter and, for example, oil the dining table... I just don't think about it
