I'll summarize again: We actually afford everything we want to afford. At the end of the month, at least 2,000 euros remain, probably even more. That's nice, with that we will pay off our house in 7 years. Of course, one also has a bit of the idea that might be "too fast." Maybe one is being too frugal after all. I actually find the savings rate very, very high when viewed realistically. We're not such penny-pinchers.
Therefore, the suggestion rightly came up to consider that you could spend 1,000 or 2,000 euros more per month, i.e. "invest in quality of life." Actually, neither of us have any material wishes left unfulfilled. But I would like to get some inspiration here. There have already been suggestions like dream car, instrument, or Disneyland.
