I can well imagine that the hydraulics and the underfloor heating will be an appointment during the viewing. I would definitely note that down as a question. If automatic explanations come with it, of course even better. In any case, I am happy for you that the first impression obviously fit. Now I wish you that the appointment will work out as planned. I would say that something like that should always be possible, because with appointments and probably also with hygiene measures it is safer than take-away queues and the like, but logical thinking is a tricky thing...

Before you even think about ground drilling, I would first take a look at the ring trench collector, see Rosa Forum (htd). Depending on your own effort, it is much cheaper to implement and just as efficient.

thank you, it’s definitely noted! I won’t overlook this point, honestly I hadn’t thought about it and was actually focused on the device.

the appointment on site is, as you already correctly wrote, still quite uncertain when and how it can take place. but luckily we don’t have too much stress with it, so we can take it more or less easy. I see the gained time positively and meanwhile inform myself a bit more, or rather try to think about the implementation. still, of course I hope that we can make up for the appointment soon.

I admittedly hadn’t thought of the ring trench collector because it would have been at best difficult to implement on our property. Thank you for bringing it up to the group.

The fact that you guys aren’t under too much stress is of course good in this case. I wish you that it works out by mid-May at the latest. As I said... that it doesn’t work right now is incomprehensible to me. If you have questions, you can, I think, contact customer service.

thanks again! yes, it's unfortunate that at the moment it's not possible to meet for a consultation appointment on site, but that's the way the legal regulations are. we have to live with them, for better or worse... it's annoying, yes, but there's no point in getting upset about it any further. now we just have to hope that our appointment in two weeks can be kept, that would be great. i am also glad that we don't have too much stress, but at least we'd like to check off the planning sometime soon. the manufacturer company is definitely very committed and we were also informed that we can gladly call if we have any questions.

We are currently renovating our detached house, built in 1982, to KFW-55EE or 75EE standard (still to be determined) and are also considering which heating system to use. Today we received an offer from the local heating installer for a geothermal heat pump from Stiebel Eltron, just under 17 kW plus 4 drillings for a total of 62,000 EUR. About half of this costs goes to the earthworks company, the other half to the heating installer.

I don't have the comparative offers for the pellet system yet, but I think (or rather hope, based on what I have read so far) that it will certainly be 20,000 EUR cheaper. Given the price difference, I think we will go with the pellet system. We have around 240 m2 of living space (of which 160 m2 is underfloor heating) and 130 m2 heated in the basement. Currently, we consume 35,000 kWh of heating oil per year and hope that after the renovation (new windows + doors, attic + blown-in insulation) we will reduce the heating demand to 20,000 kWh.
