Laminate vs. Parquet

Parquet is a fine thing and also more durable, but laminate has the advantage that it is cheaper and does not have to be sanded down and resealed every 4 to 5 years. Of course, you can also sand down the parquet later, but then the shrinkage cracks in the joints become even more visible.

That's clear, parquet flooring is indeed a fine thing. It is more expensive compared to laminate, but also more durable. But I wouldn't let the children with dirty shoes walk over the laminate, and certainly not over the parquet.
