Yes, everyone can do what they want ... that's also okay. Germany needs consumption. But if you don't save anything with a 5k net income, owning property doesn't work if you also have plans like expanding the family.

I don't think these flat % rates make sense. That you (presumably) have to make sacrifices, for example on vacation, should also be clear. But you must not let yourself be enslaved by the bank. If you are not able to save anything afterwards and have to turn every euro twice, you did something wrong.

You really don’t understand. Those who so far haven’t been able to save because they had to repay BAföG, or care for a relative and then arrange their funeral, or had to spend money on their teeth, or whatever else, are not brain-dead "consumers". And the past also doesn’t say anything about the future. It’s not just black or white. You should be mature enough to know that.

Yes, I know, it's always something else to blame. 5000€ net, 1000€ rent. 4000€ per month to live on, BAföG, etc. So all the last years everything was squandered and with the house purchase all problems will be solved? Regarding caring for relatives, there are nursing services and levels of care. From my own experience, I know there are very generous exemption limits before you have to pay anything. So please, just keep things in perspective. I have no sympathy for very well-earning people who have no equity but make demands.

Yes, with black-and-white thinking the world is nicely simple. Sad

Yeah, exactly. From now on, I will show compassion and understanding for everyone ... with a net income of €5,000, more than justified ... so many (luxury) problems
