House placement on a slight slope, tips?

Hello everyone,

I bought a plot of land and am a bit helpless about how to position the house.
The starting situation:
20m width to the street
About 26m length, with approximately 3m rising towards the back. "Slope to the back". Unfortunately, the ground floor may start no more than 50 cm higher than the street level, so nothing can be placed higher.
The sun moves as shown in a semicircle from the right in the picture to the left and ends in the evening at the red arrow.
The development plan says 5m from the street and 3m from the neighbor.

How should I best approach this?
Build the house as far back as possible and into the slope, large front yard?
House towards the front and the living spaces upwards/towards the street? Living room downstairs in the dark half-basement?
Excavate everything and then look out onto retaining walls at the back?

Who has an idea for the slope rising to the back?

Please show the plan again, oriented to the north, and indicating which is the desired property.

North is at the top of the map and the property is the one with 20 on it in the middle. Sorry, that was clear to me.

We had/have similar conditions (approx. 22 m plot width, 50 m length), gently sloping hill (not as much as with you, or rather steeper with us next to the street, then rather flat ascending), although we are almost the opposite in orientation (meaning south facing the street).

With 26 m length I would definitely stay exactly 5 meters away from the street, depending on the height profile ground floor/basement open at the front (entrance, garage) and buried at the back (possibly completely), and then the upper floor as a full floor (possibly recessed floor) opening towards the garden. Living/dining area etc. then on the upper floor, everything that doesn’t fit there accommodated in the ground floor/basement (utility room/technical room anyway, guest room, possibly also bedroom).

20 m plot width is pretty annoying I have to say – you have to like your neighbors, and from the very beginning think about if and how you can later create access paths (especially regarding driveway with excavator etc.) to your backyard. Can you at least place the garage (if desired) directly on the property boundary?

Yes, that is possible.

So use the backyard with daylight then?

Do you have pictures/sketches of your situation?

Specifically, a few pictures "almost finished" can be found , sketches including plot placement then at the beginning of the same thread.
