Depends on how the others position their house. Actually, what the planner drew in 27 has something to it, if the neighbors do it the same way.

That's how it is. The suggestions show knowledge of the subject, and what I find even more likeable: apparently no rigid ideas about how a uniform ridge direction has to be.

With the plan, I could also imagine a terrace in the south-east corner. Depending on the temperature, you can either hide behind the house or sit in the sun.

Where we currently live, we have a pure east-facing terrace that is completely shaded from half past three in June. We never want that again! Because the transitional periods have been much longer on average in recent years than the times when the sun really blazes. Sure, at the moment it's quite pleasant. But in my opinion, artificial shading is perhaps not easy, but easier than artificial sunbathing. Therefore, we will place our terrace on the west side in the new building. And if it ever gets too warm there, we can move in front of the garage (i.e., onto the driveway), which is located north in front of the house and is accordingly in the shade.

The sun rises in the east, so of course it cannot stay there until sunset. Half past two ("winter time") is still a good value there.

That may be, nevertheless it is simply too cool for us there after work or in the evening! Except for the few super-summer days.

Then it is only residual heat from the ambient air and radiant heat from house walls etc.; basically, an east terrace always remains a breakfast terrace and is therefore not suitable to be the only terrace.
