Yes, we also did not think that it would "disappear" so much in the facade. As I said: for most, we give it with: the wooden house! I am of the opinion that it would be more legible if it were mounted 1-2 cm higher, but since my dear husband installed it that way, I will refrain from making any criticism in this regard.
At night, all wooden houses are gray, so the house number can be too ;-) The mail carrier should come during the day, and the pizza delivery person should just follow the stomach growl ...
There is no house number on our house - it would not be visible from the street. For over a year, we have set up temporary solutions, a painted stone on the mailbox and a painted board, both next to the driveway.
It might just be a bit critical in case of an emergency doctor, right?
It could also be overlooked in the described case for us. I do not dwell on all possible scenarios.
With us, the house number will definitely be visible and illuminated. I have already enjoyed the service of an emergency doctor home service several times and am therefore very happy when the guys know where they have to go. I certainly would not have thought of such a point 20 years ago. I really like various hidden variants of Metzler in the mix "stainless steel with anthracite gray. Above that, lighting should be installed.
