Hello dear community,

I would like to ask for your advice on what house connection costs you would expect in my case.
Conditions:
- Development of the rear part of a property (Hamburg)
- The front part of the property is occupied by a dilapidated ruin (to be replaced in the future)
- Distance from the street to HTR: approx. 40m

Previous cost estimate from the general contractor:
- Electrical and media connection: €7000
- Drinking water connection: €6000
- Wastewater connection: €7000
- Rainwater connection: €7500

Are these costs realistic for rough planning? I just want to avoid nasty surprises.

Many thanks!

Including civil engineering? Or just the connection and fees? I believe, however, that if everything including civil engineering is done at the same time, it could work.

We paid just under 20,000 EUR for almost 10m including gas and Telekom. Prices from 2021. For 40m, therefore, rather still too cheap.

You can find out the connection costs from your suppliers. This varies greatly, so knowing what we paid won't help you. If you plan well, everything can be laid in one trench, which saves money. What exactly is meant by the rainwater connection? Does the rainwater go into the sewage system? In that case, I would find the offer from the general contractor too expensive, since then only one pipe to the sewer pipe is needed. Or will there be a cistern? Or are you allowed to let it infiltrate on the property? Then you can easily build it yourself.

That's how we did it, each supplier offered complete earthworks and connection, a common pipe trench with empty conduits was executed by the earthworker and the suppliers (electricity, water, telecom) only carried out and billed the connection. That really saved money over 50-70m.

By the way, with us, the channel connection up to 3 m on the property alone costs 12,000 euros in the two-channel system. The distance to the house (approx. 30 m) is added on top of that.
