I did not know the self-learning variant either, but I’m afraid it won’t work very well for shift work. I will probably have a circulation system retrofitted in the existing building that works as follows: You briefly open the hot water supply and then close it immediately; the pump senses the demand and starts running. In the meantime, you go to the toilet and afterwards you have warm water available immediately because the pump runs for a timed period.

OT on the topic of living room and house rules: The comparison is a bit off: I’m not trying to lure strangers into my living room to make money with ad banners etc. If you do that for a long time to the dissatisfaction of users and maybe also some mods, eventually the visits will stop and thus the income as well. You can’t please everyone, but sometimes discussions give food for thought. The fact that it is repeatedly pointed out by users should be seen rather positively, others simply stop coming eventually. Whether that is the better way is up to each individual. I can live with the current rules because the forum is not that important after all, but it would be a pity nonetheless.

Hello Frank,

Not really, since the discussion with 'Lexmaul' is exclusively about the topic of links and the question of whether - in his opinion - the incomprehensible approval of links fits the forum rules or rather leaves a bad taste.

As far as annoying advertising is concerned, you are of course right; the operator knows that too; his webby has been working on a solution for some time. With a bit of luck, this annoying problem - due to the recent change - is a thing of the past.

Rhenish greetings

Fortunately, there is the possibility to open a topic in the corresponding forum here at the HBF if something does not work or if something off topic should be addressed. You are welcome to take advantage of this opportunity, because the admin also reads it! You can point out inconsistencies to him directly. Unfortunately, I see far too rarely that the complaint corner is used, instead dissatisfaction is brought up off topic in a factual discussion. I do not know how you handle it in your professional or private life, but directly addressing issues helps more than being upset behind someone's back.

Self-learning pumps are available, for example, from Vortex. However, we have installed the BWO 155 R Z. It has a timer switch that turns the circulation on in the morning and evening.

Just a question.. I haven't read the entire thread. Why not connect a time relay with the bathroom light switch, which then allows a water heater to run for 2-3 minutes. When you enter the bathroom and turn on the light, the water heater goes into standby mode for the set time.

Well, maybe read everything once, then you'll also know that it's not about instantaneous water heaters...
