Especially for rarely used faucets, a hot water line isn't worth it anyway. For example, a guest bathroom. That little bit of hot water can also be heated with a tankless water heater, with a ring circuit you have double the surface area which additionally increases heat loss. And if hot water circulates permanently in the pipe, the temperature difference is also relatively high, thus the heat loss as well. So from an economic standpoint, a tankless water heater is at least not worse, unless you really need it at every sink.
