I am just sharing my experiences, even in our rural area almost everyone looks at the location, "technical data", condition, etc. Even in inherited houses with the grandmother's furniture, no one has ever failed to buy the house. It just had to be assured that the house would be emptied before handover. Of course, it goes without saying that with skillful staging you might attract more interested parties, but usually they don't buy because of the cardboard furniture.

HS may, as one reads, contribute to selling a property better. What bothers me a little about this is that the purchase price is also supposed to be driven up. However, the beautification does not change anything about the actual building fabric, the location, and other things that determine the purchase price. But it seems to work.

Of course not. I didn't bring up the cardboard furniture either. But when I look at some amateurish designs from prospective builders here, I wonder if they have any imagination - probably not... that's where furniture dummies come into play, which are much cheaper than rental furniture from a furniture store.

Where does it say that?

On various websites....well, some phrase it as....to achieve the best possible price.....or even at a better price.

OK...one could now compare it again with the car......

From my experience, the HS can make sense. People find it very difficult to recognize the potential of a house for themselves. In our house, there were also some structural quirks of the previous owners and rudimentary furnishings at the time of purchase. All of that was easy to change. Despite otherwise good staging with a burning wood stove and fresh coffee, many interested parties were deterred during an open viewing. We overlooked that, judged based on location and price, and bought. In that respect, it was our luck that the sellers had not invested a bit more. Otherwise, we would certainly have had more competition.
