No, a complete bus. Everything in the control cabinet, star-wired and as few switches and as many sensors as possible. The only thing that will come later is the visualization with a home server. However, it will not be a Gira here either. Otherwise, the bus will be completely decoupled from the internet, so remote control of the house will not be possible.

Axo, ok - that was once my wish too. But by now I no longer see any real advantages in the single-family house in the BUS - I still think it's cool, but the price just doesn't add up anymore. I have also had my wishes implemented conventionally.

If the floor plan and wishes are conventionally feasible, I think it's great. Unfortunately, it wasn't that simple for us. That's why now we're shooting sparrows with cannons. Yes, the dear price. With KNX, one really keeps wondering whether the KNX people really don't want single-family house builders as customers.

I just don’t understand it either - they could market it so cool, but no, it’s just artificially kept high.

Just the stupid programming software alone - way too expensive and complicated... why don’t they make it open-source.

How much is it supposed to cost now (roughly) if I may ask?

Whether I buy an ETS is still undecided. I can borrow one and also have it from time to time. That's why I don't know yet. Time will tell.

The price is not fixed yet. Not even roughly. The planning is currently underway and only when it is finished can we talk about costs. It’s not just about KNX hardware, but the wiring itself costs quite a bit more. The electrician has not commented on this yet either.

However, I hope there will be some saving potential with the electrician through own contributions.
