@ Sebastian79 Why cans with bananas? My cans cost around 2 €, for that I have no additional plug connections. The boxes stay in the living room until the end of their lives (the location of the receiver will not change either), no one sees the cans anyway. For that, the cans are too expensive for me - the floor tanks for the surround boxes were enough for me. Everything else via Wifi...

Do you know? No, seriously: I found it much nicer when there are plug connections. It also always depends on how you place the receiver or how the furniture looks where it is placed (possibly entirely made of glass or very minimalist-naked?).

As I said, in my opinion, WLAN has primarily no place in new buildings because it would only be a retrofit solution – you can lay cables so well in the shell construction, why not use that?

... because of your first sentence, I don't want to install sockets everywhere possible - rather, I want to be flexible. Due to our floor plan, the positions of the sideboard (amplifier setup), TV, and speakers are fixed - it's more of a TV corner with a lounge couch (there wasn't enough space for a real home cinema). Otherwise, you are completely right, during the new construction phase you can lay many cables - everyone should take advantage of that. It will never be cheaper again. But now we're drifting a bit off topic - let's see what the OP thinks of all our suggestions.

1. Streaming: Internet, cloud, mobile phone, PC, but not from the receiver 2. Power cables are only a few cm long, you can't see them behind the device either 3. Yamaha: no idea, but if it only has 5 amplifiers, then probably a second amplifier is needed 4. Speaker cables are always sufficient in normal (appropriate to length, amplifier, and speakers)

I had given you a disc recommendation...

My Pioneer can, for example, stream everything from the mentioned media.
