No, I definitely won't go along with the nonsense about gold cables, etc. By the way, I solder the connections in the plugs.

That can then keep up, but I guarantee you the resistance will not differ between the connection types, nor will the electric field in the conductors.

That is certainly true – especially since no normal person hears that. Thin cables are definitely noticeable, and at least with GIRA, the terminal inserts would be too small for me. In any case, I find it more stylish with the outlets like that. The outlets shown above from GIRA are okay, but unfortunately they do not visually match the surrounding frame program.

Sure, as always, quality makes the difference. For me, the connections in the living room are behind the couch; there, thinness + performance are more important than appearance. Outside, I would accordingly prefer waterproof plug systems, especially if you don’t leave expensive speakers outside 365 days a year.

I can’t recall ever having pointed out anywhere here in the forum that I am an expert in Hi-Fi; moreover, I am only a co-payer. And – I am also “just” a consumer; so I can’t provide you with any physical explanation either. But maybe it’s just like the vinyl vs. CD discussion; everyone wanted to tell me I was crazy

However, I can confirm to you – regardless of your explanations – that it makes a big difference whether you connect “normal” or gold cables (OFC) to the system. I didn’t want to believe it either … but it’s audible

Rhenish greetings

You should read properly - we were talking about digital transmissions.

With analog transmissions, it is somewhat different and a topic in certain areas - but not here
