That's right. Some houses have already been resold here. Anyone who has a problem with that shouldn't have built on a leasehold property in the first place. Their bad luck, they just have to keep looking. There are plenty of others who are searching and are not bothered by it. Then there are just 5 instead of 8 interested parties. Because of a few more options, I don't have to take out an extra 150,000 in credit.

The house value is not higher when you add a land value. The value remains the same. This is one of the strange arguments you can hear, but nothing more. The only thing that counts is that you have to show more equity to the bank. That's when the wheat is separated from the chaff.

Societally, I find leasehold an interesting model - especially future-proof for municipalities that want to sustainably care for affordable housing. Personally, as a father of 2 children, I prefer the idea of ownership and passing it on. I guess that's called "wash me but don’t get me wet"...

You can't have everything. Without land, housing becomes affordable. It's quite unusual. The house is inherited but not the land. The children will still get something.

A disadvantage of leasehold is the often limited collateral value. That means more equity is required. Resale requires approval, etc.

In times of low interest rates, I would not opt for leasehold. But if there is no alternative, what else can you do?

I don't understand. Why limited? It hardly plays a role in the single-family house/condominium sector, but more so in commercial properties - depending on the structure. More equity is ALWAYS needed with full ownership (in absolute amounts).
