I am very glad to have found this forum and hope you can help me with my little socket problem. Somehow I am occasionally a bit clueless when planning my house, but I think many people here feel the same.

I am currently looking at where and how many sockets should be installed! Where would you place them?

I have attached a floor plan...

I look forward to your suggestions & ideas!

Best regards

In all corners at least 2-gang combos...

At all windows at least one outlet or for large windows one on the left and right or also double outlets.

In the smaller rooms at least 8 pieces... also 2-gang combos in the corners...

Consider where all the devices and furniture will be placed and what you want to plug in...

In the kitchen, on the left and right of the countertop, 2x 2-gang combos each... above the cabinets 2, at the sink below 2, at the refrigerator 3-gang, range hood etc. 1-gang

In the TV area 10 outlets

We have one outlet under every light switch, in every room two outlets in each corner. As already mentioned, next to every window there is one outlet and a roller shutter drive. Also, where desks, TV corners, craft corners, etc. were planned, several outlets, usually 4. Each of these also has network and ISDN or telephone outlets. In the kitchen, on each long side, 4 outlets lined up above the countertop, 4 in the corner and of course outlets for refrigerator, freezer, stove, dishwasher, exhaust hood behind the cabinets. In the stairwell, also under every light switch and on every floor a low-level outlet for the vacuum cleaner.

Remember to think about outlets on the floor for [Sat-Schüssel] etc.

Regards Sylvia

We have 4-5 in the bedrooms. That is completely sufficient. At the windows, we only have one at 2 windows, for Christmas decorations. We have manual roller shutters. In the kitchen we have 8. In the hallways, 1 each. By the TV there are also only 2. I have all devices on multiple sockets for turning on and off.

Well, if you are building new, you should not expect to use multiple sockets... this is completely the wrong way...
