What would it look like without the bay windows as 11ant suggests. They do cost quite a bit.

I don’t know if the terrace may be paved there. I would still provide a door in the kitchen. Chairs also work on grass.
I wouldn’t move the house backward. It will just make the driveway bigger.
When do you really seek the south sun? In the transition season when the children play outside and the first sun rays lure you out for coffee. In summer, if it does get hot, you look for shade.
If possible, terrace by the kitchen or at least provide a door.

Emerging countries? - rather emergingless - sh..ty spell "checker" :-(

Regarding the association with a "terraced house floor plan," I did not mean that it necessarily had to be bad.

As for the bay windows, I a) have my doubts that they really "create" 40 cm more knee wall height – especially since b) thanks to the use of the balconies, they themselves generate attic floor space again.

Regarding Südgarten: I grew up in a mid-terrace house with a living-dining room and a garden roughly facing north. At the back of the garden, there was sun and at the house shade, which is very pleasant in summer... otherwise, one would just put up a parasol or something similar anyway. I would therefore not place the house at the top.

I would raise the house a bit and make the entrance on the side, and also move the garage slightly to the north. I would definitely give the living rooms more windows facing west, rather see the guest room in the north. I had an ERH without south, that was also a point for me not to build it yet. Not because of the terrace or garden, but because the living rooms only got some sun from 2 p.m. onwards. In winter, only for about an hour.

The thing is not tricky, in my opinion. I rather see something in this direction (staircase no landing - program error):

Unfortunately, my program cannot display everything. The kitchen bay window should have maximum window surfaces around the corner.
I still only see the terrace in the north. No one wants to sit squeezed by the fence to the neighbor.

I'm not quite sure, but in my opinion, the 1.50m knee wall does not require additional flat roof dormers on the ground floor or the like. I even have the captain’s gable still at 75%. However, a professional has to calculate that.

Since the large play corridor is desired and also nice, I have problems fitting the washing machine somewhere. It is located in the large bathroom for me, which would of course be a bummer.

Overall, I find the wishes and the plot not that easy and would probably get an architect here who has a bit more on the ball than just a draftsman from a general contractor. Of course, always under the premise that it remains affordable and does not become completely crazy aesthetically.

Whether to do without all the fuss and rather make a long driveway and place the house further back would depend mainly on the street for me. I am rather not the type who wants to constantly see cars passing by. On the other hand, sunlight in the living room is also important. Not an easy decision.

So at least I would remove the bay window in the living room: it doesn't really add any value there, and you will never use the balcony in the bedroom - so money wasted for nothing.

Kahos Grundruß is a good alternative!
