Find a cheap provider, set the prepayment high, after moving in you can then adjust it. There are hardly any obstacles left to conveniently switch the supplier. So why not take the money with you. However, you should always keep an eye on the consumption so that you don’t experience any surprises here.

The initial registration is always done with the basic supplier. The cancellation period is 1 month. Accordingly, it can happen that you are with the basic supplier during the heating period. I signed up for a new tariff directly on the first day after receiving the letter from the basic supplier. When the switch took place after more than 1 month, they wanted to know the meter reading. By mistake, I forgot to inform them of the meter reading, and the basic supplier then estimated it (however, much too low, since they are not familiar with extras like drying heating). As a result, the screed heating ran on my chosen tariff.

See it like We currently have gas and the switch is by no means as quick, and I also don't mean retroactively possible, as with electricity. One month is about right. How to handle the submission of meter readings is up to each individual.

So electricity is possible retroactively.. I even believe up to 6 weeks - and I think it will be the same with gas. We arranged construction power through the basic supplier and then switched from screed heating (with a proper electricity meter).

We have completed both retroactively.

And what values did you then assume? Roughly plus X or how did you proceed?
