But it also has a lot to do with the fact that the installers just run through their program and, when it comes to cooling, they install this and that just like always and insist on it – either like this or not at all. With such tightly scheduled appointments and jobs, they don’t have the leisure to think through individual solutions every time. For the cooling, the brine would even have been drilled deeper in our case and it would have been grouted with higher-quality cement. Whether that was really necessary, no idea. The installation distances would also have been closer specifically for the cooling. In my eyes, that is unnecessary for the cooling function – but it would have done the heating function a lot of good. I only found out about that afterward. The underfloor heating had already been installed by then. Some people therefore put a lot of effort into the cooling function. The benefit is questionable, but that quickly leads to high additional costs. But it can also be done differently. Friends paid exactly 500€ extra for the cooling function. I wouldn’t have hesitated for that. That’s how every installer does their own thing and doesn’t deviate from it.
