mh. Let’s think about it... How about damages for delay according to the Construction Code? That’s the nice thing about the new consumer construction contracts. It’s probably undisputed, right? But you can argue a lot about the amount. Weren’t you the one who wrote just on Tuesday: On Tuesday no end to the price jumps was in sight, and only two days later is the world already back in order?

Exactly, it's about compensation or sharing of the financial damage caused by the delay. We ourselves know that it's not easy to push through. Therefore, first of all, the consultation to assess whether it is even worth opening that can of worms.

It's just like everywhere. The best and long-standing customers get the heat pumps first. That means that contract partners like prefabricated house manufacturers, large developers, general contractors, or energy supply companies are preferentially supplied. Unfortunately, the local installer or BU, who maybe buys 10 heat pumps per year, initially gets left empty-handed. Unfortunately, the fact that this clashes with the motto "build with local companies" is the big crux of the matter....

Strange. Just a few days ago, I arranged the inspection appointment with the window installer with our local entrepreneur. In the conversation, I said that I’ve been reading online more often lately about delivery times for windows of 2-3 months or more. He laughed and said, "yes, that happens more often nowadays. But not with me." :D I’m curious. Yesterday was the inspection, next week we’ll go to the sample selection for details, then the order should be placed immediately. He wants to install them before winter.

Unfortunately, windows cannot be compared with heat pumps.

You are probably right. He had already ordered the heat pump early, even before we signed the contract.
