You also very often read about consumptions that rather go in the other direction, meaning around 10,000 kWh for a single-family house of medium size, like mine. In contrast, I am doing very well with 5,000 kWh, but when I then read here about people with similar houses who have 3,000 kWh, I think my heating is not well adjusted.

The consumption itself is relatively unimportant to me and whether it then costs a few euros more per year, but I would like to have a properly adjusted heating system. It's more about the principle for me. But I already see that comparability is really not achievable.

The question is, how can it then be determined. Via the [Energieausweis]?

Then additionally: It is KFW 55, 4 people, of which 2 are children. Adults shower once a day, children bathe approximately every 2 to 3 days, exactly

I optimize my behavior to optimize consumption... No, not really. All rooms are as warm as desired by my wife and children, hot water is used as one pleases.

However, all energy wasters that can be avoided with good planning are not present: buffer for the heating system, circulation, no ERR, ... Instead, in the bathroom there is an additional wall heating installed flush instead of the dust collectors aka towel radiators, underfloor heating is quite optimally designed regarding pipe lengths etc (that makes an incredible difference, even at the lowest temperature the supply temperature is not over 30 degrees).

It is more likely that heat quantities rather than electricity are meant. 5000 kwh electricity for you is very much in my opinion. Noticeable are 50 degrees hot water in your case, which will be even higher when heating up due to hysteresis/differential. That is unnecessary. Your consumptions in summer, which should only be for hot water, also show this.

, your setup and your consumption are similar to ours. This shows how sensible the planning is.

: besides the electricity consumption, you absolutely need the amount of heat. Preferably with an additional heat meter. The meters in the heat pumps vary in quality. Only in this way can you determine whether the heat pump is running efficiently or not. There are numerous threads on how to optimize the heat pump. Domestic hot water with circulation will make a big difference for you. For example, we only need 20-30 kWh per month in summer without circulation.

A comparison among each other makes little sense.

Where do I get the heat quantities from? We had 170 kWh of hot water per month in the summer, which is already 5 times as much as you. And we also never take baths, just shower quite extensively every day..

: no, that was already electricity, the thread is even here:

If you have ambitions to reduce electricity consumption, then have a heat meter installed. It can be a used one with an expired calibration. Perhaps your heat pump already shows something as well.
