As the builder of a house with a clinker brick facade, I can only confirm to the OP that ceramic clinker bricks, meaning those with an exceptionally low water absorption, are outrageously expensive, not only because of the material (since they have to be fired at higher temperatures and the required clay is at least not local "here with us," which causes additional transportation costs) but also because of the processing. I once really delved deeply into this topic. Conclusion: The mortar manufacturers like to pretend that with the right mortar there is no difference in the application. However, the masons don’t want to hear anything about that (apparently with good reason), which is why labor costs suddenly increase by 50 percent. True story. The reference here is the regionally typical facing bricks (which are not necessarily true clinker bricks by definition), which are mostly found in the red color spectrum.

I know the Röben clinker because we ourselves recently faced the decision and I had also had it sent to me. We were also looking for a light gray clinker for a long time and looked at many options there. However, we liked the clinker from another manufacturer best after looking at clinkers from 6 different manufacturers. 'Niara' from the company Wienerberger. In terms of color, it is within your range. I no longer remember the price of the Röben, so I cannot say anything about that.
The problem with this clinker, however, is that it is an object sorting and would be specially assembled for you. But this only works starting from an order of 2000m². We would have only been able to get it if we ordered significantly more than we needed or if there was an order at Wienerberger and they added your 200m² of clinker to it.
Since the other light gray clinkers ultimately did not appeal to us taste-wise and we were convinced by the structure of Wienerberger’s, we switched to another light shade but stayed with the same manufacturer.

As the name "object sorting" already suggests, this is a service for builders of "objects" (in structural engineering, window or flooring trade, etc., buildings where the window cleaner can calculate in hectares and where the caretaker carts stack chairs en masse through the hall). It would take mooontths to have the bricklayer mix the clinker simultaneously from the pallet there. Many construction laymen fall in love with the clinker mix on a sample wall and overlook that, firstly, the middle shade of a different batch can already easily be off by two RAL tones, and secondly, even within each load there is still half an octave of variation. The bricklayer rarely covers more than two or four pallets at the same time from which he "serves himself." Roughly speaking, the rule is: "the more special the nominal color tone, the more likely the builder will be disappointed with the result."

Thank you first of all for your opinions.
It's really not easy, this search for the clinker :p
To make things even more difficult, some manufacturers no longer provide reference projects for data protection reasons, or there are simply very few in these particular shades... it becomes quite challenging to get a real picture.
For me, the "Margate" from Röben has now made it into the shortlist. I've already seen some nice pictures and spoken with satisfied homeowners.

Where are you from? If you want, I can look up our reference projects again. They are all located in [Münsterland/Ruhrgebiet].

I come from the district of Warendorf, so Münsterland / Ruhrgebiet fits quite well :-)
