We were initially at the 410, but were then able to upgrade to the 520 for an additional cost of 2,000 due to the aluminum shell promotion. This was directly in the gray variant inside. Outside in DB 703, which creates really great effects. When the sun shines, the windows appear very bright due to the glitter effect; as it gets darker, the windows almost turn black.

Very nice! Do you perhaps have detailed photos of the installation situation? (Compression tape, masking, sealing, or even foam)

I can gladly take photos over the weekend. In advance: Heller Slice 3-layer compression tape by Heller was used because there were significant subzero temperatures at the time of window installation, and it is weather-independent. The lower joint sealing of the PUR insulation strip was done with 2H window foil VSK Duo. Roller shutter/blind boxes were additionally foamed. I currently do not know the manufacturer of the foam. Overall, the installation seems very neat to me as a layperson. The window installers did everything very carefully and without time pressure.

We are also currently on the topic of windows. We decided on plastic windows - among other reasons due to cost - but I would like them to be foiled in anthracite because I somehow find white boring. Is it actually possible that the color or the foil will come off in 10-20 years?

A very controversial topic - especially here in the forum.

We had contact with several window manufacturers in our area and almost all of them advised against it. Our dealer, whom we have now chosen, does not even offer foil-wrapped windows... He only makes windows with aluminum cladding - because he also doesn't want to deal with all the little problems that come with it.

I'll put it like this: The long-term experiences are not really available yet. The foil warps over the years due to weather/sun etc., and eventually it just doesn't look nice anymore - sometimes catastrophically (for example, our dealer showed us pictures of foil-wrapped windows after 5-10 years... really shocking).

Basically very simple - like with so many things nowadays: colored windows on the outside are totally in fashion and becoming more and more popular. Everyone wants it but preferably without paying anything for it - so they go for the cheap foil instead of the expensive aluminum cladding. Similar to all the prefab house providers in the area of air-to-air heat pumps or some other issues, of course, foil-wrapped windows are the ultimate solution and nothing happens to them over the years - no warping or anything... :p
