Hello Andreas, the approach sounds reasonable. What are the cost estimates for the technologies based on, and what do they include? I would always make sure that the overall system is considered, which also includes proper installation (e.g., hydraulic balancing). Best regards, Erik from moderne.Heizung

Hello, I am new here and don’t know if I’m doing everything right now. My girlfriend and I plan to sign a contract with Bien-Zenker for our house in the next few weeks. It is a single-family house as an Efficiency House 2016 with a living area of about 137 sqm. We were recommended the comfort climate heating Proxon (Proxon from Zimmermann Lüftung). However, I am not 100% sure about this concept and have some doubts about this decision. Now my question? Has anyone installed this type of ventilation heating in their home, and if so, what are the consumption values (kW/h) and experiences in summer during extreme heat (heat exchanger/ bypass or summer box) and at low temperatures? Thanks in advance

Using search... was recently discussed here several times. My opinion: Stay away!

kWh not kw/h. If the price advantage is passed on to you and the concept is okay, it can probably be done.

A different kind of question in between: Some of you come from the Stuttgart region - does anyone happen to know Pfeil Bauunternehmung Althütte? Sorry, that has nothing to do with the topic, but this does: In my opinion (interim conclusion today 22:55) a reasonable gas condensing boiler is certainly more economical than an air-to-water heat pump, even if you have to add solar thermal. However, our authorities are on a confrontational course with Russia and there have been tensions in the oil countries for some time - that’s why we are on an electricity course. On the other hand, Russia supplied gas even during the Cold War and in an emergency you can also convert to an air-to-water heat pump, at least with underfloor heating.

How the gas price develops - no idea. How the electricity price develops - no idea. Therefore, both are associated with a risk.

Of all heat pumps, in my opinion geothermal is the best - but it doesn’t work for us and many others. There is also a certain residual risk from subsidence and groundwater changes due to drilling, for which you as the owner bear the risk.

No, that doesn’t ring a bell. I would recommend talking to builders who have worked with him. He will surely be able to provide references.

Your gas/electricity comparison is a bit off. The government does not want to move away from gas because of tensions with Russia, but because the motto is: away from fossil fuels. Economically, gas cannot currently be beaten by an air-to-water heat pump. In the medium term, however, I am sure all gas customers will face a problem caused by the federal government. Fossil fuel tax is the keyword here. Energy performance certificate the other. I also weighed whether to choose gas or an air-to-water heat pump for a long time. As I said, purely economically at present, GAS is better, but in the medium term it's an own goal. That’s why we will also go with an air-to-water heat pump.
