Hi, where did you install the pump? Inside or outside? Our neighbors drilled under the slab and the pump is now in the basement, pumping the water to an outdoor faucet. I think that's a neat solution, unfortunately I found out about it too late... Regards Robert

The pump is in the connection room in the basement, but the drilling is in front of the house - we didn't want anything under the floor slab.

So two core drillings - neat with an additional shut-off valve in the connection room and then as many valves as I want. And: frost-free!

Thank you. Yes, that is of course the most stylish solution!

Hi,

a silly question: Are garden fountains allowed with you? Here (Nuremberg region) they are mostly prohibited by municipal ordinance. But with the low groundwater levels, they often wouldn't make much sense anyway.

We will install a separate garden water meter similar to Jochen104 and do not have to pay sewage fees for the garden water. Then the garden water only costs 2 €/m^3, so the whole effort with fountain, pump, etc. would never pay off anyway.

And I never have to worry whether the groundwater might be contaminated with something that my kids better not drink in larger quantities!

Best regards,

Andreas

Is allowed - and if not, I wouldn't care anyway

According to samples, the groundwater here is supposed to be better than the city water.

Hi,

Only as long as the nearest "eco-fascist block warden" doesn’t hear your pump....

But it’s true, usually the groundwater will be quite decent, certainly not better than the tap water, but drinkable.

We are located right next to fields, so whether the groundwater quality is still that good after the farmer has emptied his slurry tank on the field would be doubtful to me.

Best regards,

Andreas
