Hello,
I have a question.
I still need to build a garden wall on one side of my property, it is about 27m long.
The wall should be built from 17.5 cm shuttering stones.
Last year I built one on the other side and proceeded as follows:
- Dug out 80 cm
- Poured the foundation
- 3 rows of shuttering stones and then poured them with concrete
On the other side, only one row of stones would be needed because the construction area (street) slopes a bit.
Now a friend told me the following/ that I should do it like this:
- Dig out 80 cm
- Put in 30 cm of gravel and compact it (we still have plenty of gravel)
- Then lean concrete and place the stones on it at the desired height
- Fill the stones with concrete, done!!!
The second wall doesn’t have to support anything except maybe a fence that will be anchored to it.
What do you think, could this also work? It would save quite a bit of time and I wouldn’t have to dispose of my remaining gravel ;-)
Regards
Tobi
