No, that's something completely different - with the [Schalsteinen] only the bottom layer has to be right, with [KS] you really have to be able to do masonry - or else glue, but even then you will have to level it out.

Otherwise, I agree with you - you should master these simplest things.

Hello Jochen

KS costs me almost twice as much in material costs. Also, I can't do masonry and would have to have someone come for that. I like working with concrete and stones. The shuttering blocks are pretty easy to work with. Only tamping the concrete is a lot of work.
Does anyone have a tip on how to make concrete thinner without adding more water?

Huh? Is the question really serious? And above you write that this isn’t your first project?

That makes me seriously doubt – how much steel are you putting into it?

Hello Sebastian

it is serious.
If it is that easy, you can tell me which additive I can use to make the concrete more fluid without adding more water. More water is ultimately counterproductive.
The reinforcement is specified by a structural engineer.

There are flow improvers, but it seems to me that you practically want to pour water in so that you don't have to compact. But you will have to do that because you can't make it that fluid. Can't you borrow a vibrating bottle?

Hello Sebastian

I don’t want to add any more water. But the concrete should be more fluid. I filled the last shuttering blocks, about 20m², with earth-moist concrete. And then tamped it. That really took a toll on my body. But it’s rock hard. No tank can get through that.
Borrowing a vibrating bottle is no problem. But does that work with the shuttering blocks? I’m afraid the blocks will shift out of line.
