If you have not designed a heavy roof structurally, then install corrugated sheet metal with a slight slope on it.

Finally some proper information, however, the metal is too loud for me

What are you doing in the garage?

He already wrote that: the dreaded noise of the rain on the roof bothers him in the bedroom facing the roof. The indication that tearing down the illegal building now will be cheaper for you than later with the roof is also a reasonable answer! What do you actually expect from always asking about partial aspects of your construction project in seventy-something individual threads? - You have been here long enough to see that those who present the project in context usually get the more valuable answers.

Why illegal building??? It is and remains exempt from approval and was registered. And why only partial projects? I ask a question where I can no longer help myself. That is what forums are for.

If the authority knows that the outbuilding is attached, then everything is fine. Yes and no. The give and take for quite a few forum participants consists of being served a series of building ideas as a thank you for their free answers – and those who let themselves be looked into the pot in a coherent manner are often happily advised which spice makes the taste even rounder. You can see this most clearly where the original posters are highly secretive about insights into their dream house plans and only ask about a single door frame. And at least for me, it often happens that I can give more suitable advice based on remembering the puzzle pieces of a project as a whole – but I don’t develop this overview if I first have to scroll through several pages of the original poster’s post history. And this already applies to me with my 11-antenna memory, whereas Yvonne, Katja, and Kerstin (for example) often only look back "within a thread" – which seems quite legitimate to me when giving unpaid advice to limit the effort this way. Neurotics just don’t have the turbocharger like my memory does.
