So… if the architect from the general contractor plans something, it does not necessarily have to be good and well thought out. Most builders sketch something that the architect then only redraws nicely.
This means for your technical room: it is not wise just because he drew it that way. And if some see a fundamental problem with it here, you should possibly have something planned differently there. A “which is hardly possible.” basically does not exist in the planning phase!

Hollow chamber profiles on beams…

And I meant the crossbeams of course instead of the beams ;)

A concrete staircase is not necessarily cheaper than a wooden staircase.

Yes, for us the utility room (also serving as a laundry room with a washing machine and it seems we can even fit a chest freezer) is an extension, although it extends about a meter into the actual house. For us it is arranged this way, the rest of the ground floor is an open-plan space.

I thought it was a great idea back then to avoid having to enlarge the whole house just to get the utility room into the ground floor without restrictions. At the same time, I also like that you are guided into the entrance when you approach the house (access path is from the south, entrance on the east). The biggest criticism so far is that the house becomes very wide because of it. Instead of 9.70 m for the actual house, it is now 13 m. I would have preferred 2-3 meters less width.

Overall, I like your floor plan. I wouldn't change anything on the upper floor either. I would keep the WC there because then you don't need a door for the shower.

On the ground floor, I don't like the open entrance area, the missing coat rack, and the many projections and recesses of the walls/stairs. The wall at the top of the plan simply looks restless. I also don't like the sofa with its back to the dining table or the window arrangement. One proposed solution would be like this:

Wow, really good ideas! Thank you for that!

I also really like the living room that way. Maybe we’ll reconsider the idea of a window seat in the rear area of the living room and instead plan the window seat at the level of the dining table.
The short hallway also makes sense, so you don’t feel like you’re sitting right in the corridor.

Great ideas! I’ll talk to my wife about it.
