I would also avoid such a large bungalow and combine the option of "age-appropriate living on the ground floor" with a "children's play area on the upper floor," planning the whole thing so that the ground floor and upper floor can be separated to create an independent apartment upstairs. Or do you still need that many rooms in 20+ years?
So my suggestion would be:
Ground floor: First an open accessible stairway with access to the utility room, behind that hallway, living room, kitchen, parents' bedroom, study, bathroom (completely barrier-free planned)
Upper floor: 3 children's rooms (later modifiable into bedroom, living room, kitchen), bathroom
